Parks & Trails
Crockett Park has 164 acres of open fields, facilities, and walking trails. It hosts the Brentwood Summer Concert Series and the annual 4th of July celebration and fireworks. The park also has a Frisbee golf course, the historic Cool Springs House, and an indoor soccer facility.
The green and black trails at the park are great for running or walking. Many of the trails are paved and run around city parks and other attractions. For example, you can enjoy the nature trail at River Park which includes a scenic two-mile riverside bikeway and is home to the refurbished Eddy Arnold Amphitheater and the refurbished Cool Springs House event venue.
The city also offers a jogging trail that loops around its parks, the YMCA, and the Williamson County Recreation Center. The City’s greenways include streamside hikes along the Little Harpeth River, roadside bike trails, and bikeway bridges. Residents can learn about the natural life of the area through ranger-led activities such as canoe trips, wildflower hikes, astronomy nighttime hikes, and land acquisition excursions.
Community Events
A variety of community events occur throughout the year at Crockett Park, from summer concerts to a holiday tree-lighting ceremony. These events offer residents of Brentwood a way to connect with their neighbors and get involved in city life.
This Fourth of July, thousands will converge on the Eddy Arnold Amphitheater at Crockett Park to attend the City’s annual Red, White, and Boom celebration. The event features live music and a professional fireworks show and is free to the public. The City encourages attendees to arrive early for the best viewing locations.
The Smoking Section will perform at the event this year after being selected to replace the Kadillacs who performed at the event for 31 years. The band is composed of Brentwood locals and members include Riley Bullock (vocals), Sam Dixon (guitar), and Andrew Byers (bass/vocals). The group formed in high school and has performed with a variety of music legends. The band is known for their energetic performances and humorous on-stage antics. This unique place is a must-see!

The oldest park in the city is Crockett Park, which was built under Tom Bain’s term as mayor and offers a variety of recreation activities. This 164-acre park contains open fields, walking trails, and other facilities such as the Cool Springs House event venue and a playground.
If you love hiking and biking, you can enjoy the park’s 2.8-mile trail. It is paved and can be broken down into smaller sections if you want to take it slowly.
Another popular outdoor destination is Owl Creek Park, which features a community playground. This 21-acre park also has a picnic shelter and a 2.8-mile walking trail that is perfect for nature lovers. You can also go to Defy Nashville, an exciting new indoor trampoline park that is sure to provide some adrenaline.
